WHY WOOL ?
NaturalSorb Safety Shield filters are made of New Zealand wool, which is naturally long, strong, renewable, sustainable and 100% biodegradable. It’s structure has a natural protective membrane that repels moisture, and has an odour control element as well. It can absorb a large quantity of moisture without feeling wet. Does not conduct static electricity like synthetic filters. Is difficult to ignite due to being naturally flame retardant (Firemen’s clothing is made from wool) and is non-allergenic too, as it absorbs and filters airborne volatile organic compounds (unwanted toxins and odours that can cause irritation to humans). In fact, NaturalSorb has the highest toxin removal rating of any filter in the marketplace and is endorsed by LEED and IAG Insurance Company as the leading filtration media.

Weaving Wool fiber also takes a fraction of the energy used to make synthetic fiber in other grease filters. NaturalSorb Safety Shield filters are made in a modern North American facility that adheres to environmental regulations and strives to utilize available “green technology” in the process.
